on desktops of the future.i downloaded it,extracted it (in documents) and all i got was bert.swf and bert.htm help?

I think that's the point... Right click > Properties > Desktop (tab) > Browse > Then select the HTML file where ever it is (along with the flash) > Apply.
Desktops can be HTML files, and the HTML probably embeds the flash movie.
